2) Explanations on Using the Service and Functions

2.1 Virtual Buttons

This website can be operated via virtual buttons.

2.2 Start, Overview and Detail Pages

On the homepage, you will find a selection of offered products in the central page area. By interacting with a product presentation, you reach the product detail page.

In the header menu, you can navigate between the various product categories.
After selecting a category, you reach an overview page where all products of this category are displayed.

By interacting with a product presentation on the overview page, you again reach the product detail page.

The product detail pages contain, in addition to all essential information about the product and the total price, possibly a quantity selection element as well as a shopping cart button.

If available, the desired order quantity can be set via the quantity selection.

2.3 Electronic Shopping Cart

By pressing the shopping cart button, you add the product (possibly in the selected quantity) to the electronic shopping cart.

This electronic shopping cart can be accessed at any time via the header menu.

Here you can first check the added products. Via corresponding buttons, products can be removed again or, if applicable, changed in order quantity.

2.4 Electronic Ordering Process

After checking, you can complete the electronic ordering process by interacting with the corresponding buttons.

For this, you will first be asked to enter your contact details (at least name, email address, and delivery or billing address) via an input form.

Then, in a next step, you can choose between the available delivery or service options.

Finally, you can decide on one of the available payment methods, enter the necessary payment data, and complete the order.

The binding placement of the order only occurs when the button provided for this purpose on the final order page is pressed. It is labeled "Buy", "Buy now", "Place paid order" or another clear formulation.

Before pressing this order button, you can always navigate back to the previous steps via the "Back" button of your browser and/or cancel the ordering process at any time.

If you have decided to pay with an online payment method, you will be redirected from the final order page to the payment provider's system to make the payment there.

3) Legal Requirements for Accessibility

This website, as an online shop, belongs to the so-called "services in electronic commerce" and is characterized by an electronic ordering and payment option.

Special legal requirements for accessibility apply to it.

In general, this website must provide functions and procedures that are oriented to the needs of people with disabilities and enable operability with digital aids.

The online shop functions of this website must be designed to be:

  • perceivable
  • operable
  • understandable, and
  • robust

Perceivability means that the information and components of the online shop are presented in such a way that they are easily perceivable for all users.

Operability requires that the functions of the online shop can also be used by users with limitations in mobility or understanding.

Understandability requires that the information and functions of the online shop are logically structured, easily recognizable, and unambiguously designated.

Robustness finally demands that the contents and functions of the online shop can be used reliably and without restrictions, even when users use digital aids.

If products are for sale in the online shop that are subject to their own accessibility requirements, information on accessible use must be provided for such products - if available.

4) Available Aids for Accessible Use

This website fulfills the accessibility requirements through the following measures:

  • Cascading Style Sheets (CSS): A programming language is used that separates the presentation of page contents in layout, color, and design from their content structure. This makes it possible for digital aids to use their own visibility schemes to display page contents.
  • Verified correctness of HTML codes: All HTML codes are continuously checked for their functionality to exclude functional failures and the lack of detectability by digital aids.
  • Responsive Design (adaptation to various screen sizes): The contents, elements, and functions automatically adapt in their dimensions to the size of the screen used.
  • Text hints when input fields are not filled out: If mandatory input fields are not filled out, a text-based hint is given in addition to a color marking. This hint clarifies what information is missing in the input field.
