Can children fly in a helicopter? Is there a minimum age?
Children from the age of 5 are welcome to fly in our helicopters. Our young passengers should be able to sit independently (even with a booster seat provided by us). Children are not allowed to fly on the lap of an adult.
Do I need to have basic knowledge to fly in a helicopter?
No, you don't need any basic knowledge. The pilot will give you a briefing before the flight and you can ask any questions you may have. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about your helicopter tour in advance.

How safe is it to fly with an AIR LLOYD helicopter?
AIR LLOYD has been operating helicopter flights for 57 years. Safety is our top priority. We are happy to answer individual questions from passengers. Helicopter flights are many times safer than driving a car.

What clothing should I wear when flying in a helicopter?
That is up to you. Depending on the weather and season, wear comfortable clothing.
How safe are the helicopters?
AIR LLOYD has been flying safely for 57 years - you are in the best hands with us. Regular maintenance and inspection of our helicopters are a guarantee for your and our flight safety. Ourexperienced pilots have several thousand flying hours.
What happens if the weather conditions on the booked date are very bad?
Flight date agreements are always made in consultation and in consideration of the weather conditions. Of course, a postponement is possible in the event of bad weather.
Is it possible to extend the helicopter tours?
Yes, but this must be clarified 14 days in advance, as the helicopter must be refueled accordingly and there may be a backlog of following passengers.
What time do the helicopter flights take off?
As a rule, sightseeing flights take off from 08:00 to 16:00. At other times, of course, by prior arrangement. We would be happy to arrange an individual helicopter sightseeing flight with you.

What happens if I cannot take part in the flight at short notice?
The booked date is binding. The flight ticket is transferable and can also be redeemed by another person. You are welcome to change your booking up to 14 days before the confirmed date.
What happens if I am late?
Please inform us of the delay immediately. We will then find a solution together.
Do I need insurance for the helicopter sightseeing flight?
No, you do not need special insurance for your helicopter flight.

What are the health requirements for a helicopter sightseeing flight?
You should feel healthy and be able to participate in public life. Participation in the flight is also possible for wheelchair users. You can drive your wheelchair to the airfield and we will help you board the helicopter.
Are there weight restrictions when flying in a helicopter?
- In the Robinson R44, the maximum weight per person is 110 kg including clothing
- In the Bell 206 Jet Ranger, the maximum weight per person is 120 kg including clothing
If a passenger is over the weight limit, we must be consulted beforehand so that we can find a solution together.
How much time do I need to plan for my helicopter sightseeing flight?
We ask you to arrive at the agreed meeting point 20 minutes before the specified departure time. The total duration depends on the booked flight time.
How many passengers fly in the helicopter?
An R44, a 4-seater helicopter for 3 passengers plus pilot, is usually used for sightseeing flights. The larger B206 helicopter has 5 seats and room for 4 passengers plus pilot.

No, with a helicopter sightseeing flight with AIR LLOYD you do not need a permit for aerial photography.
Is it possible to talk in the helicopter during the flight?
Each passenger is fitted with headphones with a microphone. You can talk to each other and communicate with the pilot.
How fast does the helicopter fly?
A helicopter flies approx. 180 - 220 km per hour. Depending on the helicopter type.
Can turbulence occur during the helicopter sightseeing flight?
Turbulence due to gusts of wind is possible depending on the weather. Our pilots are so experienced that they can handle this with ease.
Can you also fly by helicopter in winter?
Yes, helicopter flights are possible in winter if the weather conditions are right.
Can I make a marriage proposal during the helicopter tour?
Yes, with pleasure. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about proposing in a helicopter.
